Shearwater Restaurant
At Shearwater, both breakfast and lunch are buffet style on the deck overlooking the Coral Sea. You can enjoy a three-course 'table d'hote' menu for dinner five days a week and try an 'Aussie BBQ' on Tuesday nights and a selection of local seafood presented on a Seafood Buffet on Saturday nights.
On top of that, we cater for special diets and special requests. Picnic hampers you can enjoy anywhere on the island are a popular favourite.
Pandanus Lounge & Baillie's Bar
The Bar & Lounge are the place to relax with a cold drink after a warm day. The complex is designed to make the most of panoramic reef views, with an outdoor terrace, a cocktail bar, entertainment lounge, dance floor and a mezzanine level library area.
Any time is a good time, open from 9.30 am till late.
Wistari Room
To relax for a moment, you can visit our air-conditioned presentation room to catch up on the news you have missed while enjoying the island, or maybe sneaking in a quick peek of your favourite sporting event.
On occasions, we host special presentations for guests in the Wistari Room. Special Marine Biologists from the Heron Island research station often host fascinating marine life and environment discussions.
Heron Island Meal Package
A full buffet breakfast is included at Heron Island, so make your holiday even more relaxing by booking the value packed meal package when you confirm your booking.
The meal package includes lunch and dinner and is available from day one for every day of your stay.
