About Getting there
Heron Island Resort lies on the Tropic of Capricorn, 72 kilometres off the Queensland coast NE of Gladstone.
Regular flights to Gladstone are available via Brisbane. Qantas flies to Brisbane from all capital cities. Once at Gladstone, you have a choice of transfer options to get to Heron Island itself.
Heron Island operates 1 hour ahead of Eastern Standard (Queensland) Time all year round.
BY BOAT
Transfer duration: approximately 2 hours
At 34 metres, The Heron Islander is specifically designed to provide a comfortable and spacious transfer from the Queensland mainland to Heron Island. Launched in 2007, she comfortably seats 170 and has a top speed of 30 knots (55kmh).

Guests arriving into Gladstone on the above flights will be provided with a transfer from the Airport to the Marina. Please make your way to the front of the Terminal once you have collected your luggage to meet the transfer service (transfer departs approx. 10:15 am). |

If you’re making your own way to Gladstone Marina you’ll find it at Bryan Jordan Drive, Gladstone. Secure car lock-up facilities are available for approximately $11 per day ($55 per week) for a covered car park or $9 per day ($45 per week) for an uncovered park.
