Resort Charges

At Heron Island, we offer a selection of complimentary activities, including interpretative reef walks and reef creature talks, educational slide shows, tennis, snorkelling lessons and some night activities.

Snorkelling

Snorkel Boat Trip	Minimum 2 people
Children under 8 years old are not permitted on snorkel boat trips.	$48.00 Adult
Children 8-14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.	$32.00 Child

Diving

All dives to Heron and Wistari reefs include air, scuba tanks, weights and boat trip.
Other equipment for diving is at an additional charge.

Children under 10 years old are not permitted to dive.
Children 10 years old and over may only dive if they are fully certified.
Children 10 to 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Please be aware that conditions and additional charges apply to divers under the age of 12 years.

Requires divers to have completed a minimum of 20 dives or have logged a previous dive on Heron Island. Light stick and torch provided.

Referral Dive Course*

$510.00

This course enables students who have done the necessary theory and pool components to complete their open water dive qualifications. Bookings must be made in advance, prior to arrival. Includes all equipment and boat charges. The course runs over 2 days, but it pays to allow 3 days. Divers require dive medical certificate AS4005.1 plus referral from initial dive instructor. Referrals are valid for a period of 12 months.

Additional equipment required for dive, unless otherwise shown as included, can be hired from the Marine Centre.

Refresher Dive	Complimentary
For those who have not dived in the last 12 months. Held in the resort pool. Dive equipment additional.

Discover Scuba Diving	$188.00
For beginners who want a taste of diving yet have no prior experience. Includes classroom and pool sessions, equipment and one supervised dive with qualified instructor. Children under 14 years old are not permitted to dive.

Follow-Up Dives	$95.00
Follow on from Discover Scuba Diving Course. Includes equipment and instructor guide. Children under 14 years old are not permitted to dive.

Charter Adventure Dives on MV Gatcombe – Full Day*	$420.00
A full day of exploring pristine reefs in isolated locations such as Wilson, Fitzroy, Lamont, Broomfield and Sykes. Includes dives, lunch and beverages. Minimum 6 divers. Maximum 3 dives, subject to weather.	per person

Dive Charters

Dive charters provide the perfect platform for snorkelling, diving and fishing expeditions. Children under 14 years must be accompanied by an adult on Private Charters.

Diving Charter	Half Day (5hrs)	Please enquire
Private Dive Charter to a variety of adjacent reefs: Broomfield and Sykes. The trip will include up to 2 dives. Light refreshments will be provided. Includes air, scuba tanks and weights only.

Dive Boat Charters
Half Day (Up to 4 hours – 2 Dives)	With 3 dive staff	- Please enquire

Fishing Charters

Other Charters
Reef Snorkel Tour (Private Charter) This activity encompasses Heron & Wistari reefs, as well as the surrounding reefs of Broomfield and North Reef. A snorkelling guide will point out the highlights. Light refreshments included.	Half Day (minimum 4 ppl)	$150 per person
Sunset Cruise (Private Charter) Your guide will point out the best vantage point from which to view the sunset while your enjoying quality Australian wine and gourmet cheeses.	From $575.00
