FISHING

  • Guests can fish with either rods or handlines
  • We offer a stable boat with the majority of the back deck in the shade and a fully enclosed cabin
  • There are toilet facilities on board
  • Guests can purchase drinks on board and help themselves to water
  • You catch it, we cook it! Our chefs on Heron Island will be able to cook any legal-sized fish that guests catch
  • The price includes bait
  • We offer a combination of trolling and bottom fishing depending on the conditions and guests’ requests
  • We generally fish for Coral Trout, Red-Throat Emperor (sweet lip), Spangled Emperor, Red Emperor, Spanish Mackerel, Black King Fish
  • Fishing trips are weather dependent. However, the boat will usually aim to operate from 08:30am to 11:30am for a morning fishing trip, and 1:30pm to 4:30pm for an afternoon trip
  • Our fishing trips are priced at $90 per adult and $65 per child
  • Children under 8 must be supervised by an adult and small children need to be supervised by their parents or a legal guardian at all times
