In the water
Dives and snorkelling:

Highlights of the 2011 Dive Festival

Surrounded by a colourful coral cay, vast turquoise seas and thousands of underwater sea creatures, the Heron Island Dive Festival 2011 has left memories on the cameras of many thrill seekers (check our image gallery).


Celebrating Heron Island as one of Australia’s premier dive destinations, the Festival took divers on an underwater adventure through Heron’s top day and night dive sites. With everything from scuba diving lessons, to poolside spa treatments and photography lessons, holiday makers were thrilled by the diversity of activities available on Heron Island.

Underwater Photo & Video Shoot-out Competition

The underwater photo and video shoot-out competition is happening simultaneously all over Australasia from 2 to 11 September 2011, with 25 countries spanning both hemispheres participating.


The showcase of results will be at the Oceania Dive and Ecotourism Expo in Brisbane in October 2011.
